ABOUT YWMB
Young Minds Without Borders (YMWB) is a social platform adapted by LBFI in finding
innovative ideas through extended education. Its objective is to prepare the youth to succeed in the future.
Problem solving, leadership and creativity are important skills they need in order to
cope up with the changing times. YMWB or Workshop on Wheels provides a
student centered learning process through experiential learning
that enhance communication, social skills and other competences.
The workshops have been done in small scales but it aims to widen its scope
in partnership with the Academe, the Local Government, Business and
Community Leaders.
How It Works
Through collaboration, the Committee on Programs and Plans invite Business and
Government Leaders, Parents, Teachers and School Officials in organizing the
workshops. Trained facilitators work on public schools consecutively.
With guidelines that adhere to providing a friendly and safe environment for
students, YMWB participants engage in a learning process with the following objectives:
1. To provide a support system.
2. To build self-confidence.
3. To improve self-image and enhance self-esteem.
4. To understand the value of goal-setting and goal-getting.
5. To improve communication skills.
6. To enhance leadership skills and character building.
7. To build better social relationships.
