LBFI BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND DIRECTORS
A whiff of fresh air, a rare breed of public servant that embodies the rise of new
politics in the City of Parañaque. He is a champion athlete, a successful
businessman, a dedicated civic leader and an accomplished politician with an
unblemished track record of honest and dedicated public service. His well-rounded personal background coupled with his deep faith in God, makes Mayor
Edwin L. Olivarez the ideal person to lead the city that is facing serious challenges
on various fronts – and he is certainly not one to betray the hopes and aspirations
of those who entrusted him the great responsibility of leading Parañaque City to a brighter and more caring future.
A son of former Parañaque Mayor Dr. Pablo Olivarez and the late Dr. Rosario De
Leon-Olivarez, the current local chief executive was born in Paranaque City on
August 14, 1963. He is married to the former Janet Angeles and they are
blessed with three children.
He received his elementary education at the Don Bosco Technical School in Makati and his secondary education from La Salle Greenhills before earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, majoring in management, from De La Salle University.
He also holds a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from Olivarez College. His business experience includes stints as President of the Olivarez Realty
Corporation and EJO Multifood, Inc., as well as a director of the Olivarez Sports Center and member of the Board of Trustees of Olivarez College.

He is a former District Rotary Governor. He is an adopted son of Paranaque City.
He was born in Liliw, Laguna, “Lito” as he is popularly called was born on September 20, 1952.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at the Philippine School of Business
Administration and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1974. He also pursued studies in trade facilitation and international logistics management at the Ateneo Graduate School in
2004.
He is the Chairman and Chief Executive officer of the Eagle Express Group (Holding Company) and sits as Chairman, President and CEO of Eagle Express Lines, Inc.;
Awards Cargo Agency Philippines, Inc.; I Solutions International, Inc.;
EMCS Philippines Inc.; IT Depo Inc. and LYF Vaccination & Medical Services, Inc.
He has also earned his numerous awards and recognition, most recent and important of
which are the 8th Salambao Award for Business Excellence given by the Parañaque Chamber of Commerce in 2011 and the Lifetime Achievement Award (2007) from Global Cargo Carrier,
Inc. In May 2015, he was named as an “Adopted Son of the City of Parañaque” for
his outstanding leadership and exemplary contribution to the City.

Angelito E. Colona
Edgardo Logroño was born on Nov 10, 1965 in San Miguel, Bulacan. He took his primary and secondary education at Don Felix Memorial School in San Miguel High School and obtained his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education major in Social Studies at the University of Makati. During his stay in college, he won the University Quiz Bee and awarded as Best in Social Studies. He was also the President of a school club and Editor of the Department Newsletter.
In 2010, Edgardo’s interest in personal and spiritual development brought his community and leadership development to new heights when he joined Liwanag ng Buhay Foundation (LBFI) as Chairman for Membership and Volunteer Committee before he became President. He also joined the Rotary Club of Taguig. In 2011, Edgardo spearheaded Young Minds Without Borders (YMWB, Taguig), a youth volunteer organization under the umbrella of LBFI. In 2013, He was elected President of Taguig Public School Teachers Association and Vice President of Alliance of Concerned Teachers Taguig.
Edgardo organizes trainings and workshops for teachers and students of Taguig City and Pateros. He organized an event on Peer Counselling Seminar at the Gabaldo Elementary School in 2014. He was one of the conveners of First National Teachers Summit held on August 2003 in Cebu City.
At present, Edgardo is pursuing his Doctorate on Philosophy in Educational Psychology at De La Salle University, Manila with his goal to become an Educational Psychologist and Consultant.His research studies include among others, Parental Involvement, Student Life Satisfaction and Student Motivation.

Pim's involvement with LBFI fueled its capacity to move on. He believes in not only helping the less privileged but also transforming and uplifting lives. He hails from Rijswijk, The Netherlands and plans to retire in the Philippines. This country is his choice because of the warmth of friends when he visited the country as part of his journey. Pim is a businessman, a father of two sons and a grandfather of six millenials.
